NBA Finals preview and tips: Denver Nuggets at Miami Heat - Game Four

Kaseya Center for game four between Miami Heat and Denver Nuggets June 7, 2023

Miami Heat will welcome Denver Nuggets to the Kaseya Center for game four of the NBA Finals, with the Nuggets holding a 2-1 lead.

Denver got fantastic production out of several key players as they beat the Heat on a historic night in NBA Finals history in Miami.

Suggested bets

Miami Heat +3

Heat @ Nuggets - Game Four verdict

Nikola Jokic scored 32 points, grabbed 21 rebounds and dished 10 assists in game three of the NBA Finals, then like the star he is, credited his teammates with the victory.
In his defence, Jamal Murray did drop 34 whilst recording a 10 rebound, and 10 assists double-double. It was the first time in NBA history that two players recorded a triple-double in the same game.

The Nuggets immediately restored their home-court advantage with the win and SX.bet have made Denver a -3.5 road favourite on the spread.

In addition to Jokic and Murray's history, rookie Christian Braun became the fourth rookie to score at least 15 points in an NBA Finals match in the past 20 years.
Miami Heat's Jimmy Butler led their scoring with 28 points with Bam Adebayo becoming a one-man rebound act, grabbing 17 boards and receiving no help from his teammates.
The Nuggets claimed 58 rebounds to Miami's 33, something which is a major problem. It was the third consecutive game Denver won that battle, adding to the margin each time.
Denver were also the more efficient shooting side, making 51% of their shots. They still struggled from beyond the arc, but it didn't matter as Miami slumped to 37% shooting.

Denver's biggest issues this season have come on the road and considering they weren't at their best in game three, it feels like Erik Spoelstra's side missed a major opportunity.

We thought the Heat would capitalise on their momentum and they regressed massively on shooting. So, we're betting they'll rebound here.
It also remains to be seen what impact Denver's performance had on them. They played extremely hard from the first whistle and put a lot into the win.

Their road record is not the best and whatever happens here, they have two of the remaining three games at home and so Michael Malone and his men will be expecting to win the Larry O'Brien trophy from this position.

Miami can't afford to trail 3-1 so we expect their best effort in game four. Even if they do lose, they should keep it close. Bet on Miami Heat +3 against Denver Nuggets at Planet Sport Bet in game four of the NBA Finals.
