Waratahs coach Michael Foley has made two changes to his starting XV for Saturday’s encounter with the Hurricanes in Sydney
Amongst the backs Sarel Pretorius replaces Brendan McKibbin at scrum-half while Jono Jenkins comes in for Chris Alcock on the flank.
Wallabies prop Benn Robinson will once again assume the captaincy from the injured Rocky Elsom.
Elsom suffered nerve damage to his shoulder in the Waratahs’ loss to the Stormers in Cape Town two weeks ago, and it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to return to the field after the mid-year break for Test matches.
Robinson has already led the side for most of the year while Elsom was recovering from hamstring problems.
Although they are out of the running for the play-off places the Waratahs will be keen to return to the victory trail as they are currently on a five-match winless streak in the competition.
It will not be easy though as the Hurricanes are on a high after they thrashed the Rebels 66-24 in Wellington last week.
