Shaw pens new deal at Toulon

Simon Shaw has extended his rugby career by signing a new one-year deal with French side Toulon, making him the oldest player in 2012/13’s Top 14

Shaw, 38, moved to the Amlin Challenge Cup finalists after the World Cup in New Zealand following fourteen successful years at Wasps.

And the experienced lock has decided it is not yet time to hang up his boots after agreeing to play alongside Jonny Wilkinson, Matt Giteau, Steffon Armitage and Bakkies Botha until June 2013.

Toulon finished the regular season in third place and host Racing Metro in the play-offs on May 26.
