Racing’s foreign trio clinch new deals

Racing Metro have announced that foreign trio Francois van der Merwe, Jacques Cronje and Juan Imhoff have all agreed new deals

Van der Merwe and Cronje have become stalwarts in the Racing pack in recent seasons and the South African duo have both been rewarded with three-year deals.

27-year-old lock Van der Merwe has made 81 appearances for the Paris-based club after joining from the Stormers in 2008.

And 28-year-old flanker Cronje has played 71 matches for Racing since 2009, after previous stints with the Bulls, Lions and Biarritz.

Argentina Test wing Imhoff is in his debut season at the club. The 22-year-old speedster has scored six tries in 16 appearances.
