The Harlequins players and coaches fly to Abu Dhabi on Tuesday to preparation for next week’s Aviva Premiership Final

Quins prepare in Abu Dhabi Joe Marler: 'Buzzing for Twickenham'

A party of 46 will spend four days resting up in capital of the United Arab Emirates where they will be based on Yas Island.

Prop Joe Marler, who scored the winning try in the semi-final against Northampton, has promised Quins will “front up” against Leicester in the showdown at Twickenham.

“I am just buzzing for Twickenham now. The final will be massive,” said Marler.

“We have had great games against Leicester. We will front up. This pack started against Munster away, it started in the Amlin final. We have played in big games. We have started to mature now.

“Unfortunately it took Northampton’s try for us to turn around and say: ‘We need to pull our fingers out here’,” he added.

“We didn’t panic, based on the results we had before, and we went out and did it.”

Meanwhile, the Premiership table toppers have released a statement regarding the ongoing speculation in the media about the possibility of London Welsh using Twickenham Stoop for the club’s home fixtures should it secure promotion to the Premiership.

“Harlequins would like to confirm that there is no agreement between the clubs nor are any discussions currently taking place with London Welsh about such a possibility,” read the statement.
