Castleford Tigers have announced the signing of centre Michael Shenton, who returns to the struggling Super League outfit after two seasons with St Helens
The 25-year-old, who joined Saints in 2011, played 153 games for the Tigers.
“Michael is a quality centre who is very much a current international and has experience of playing in a Grand Final,” coach Ian Millward told PA Sport.
“It is brilliant news for the club. For him to make the decision to go back to Cas over quite a few other clubs is a big vote of confidence for us going forward.
“Not only are we getting a quality player, he comes with a mentoring role and he brings experience that we’re looking for.”
