Arsenal midfielder Alex Song is poised to join La Liga giants Barcelona for £15million
The Cameroon international will pen a five-year deal with the Catalans subject to passing a medical at the club on Monday.
A Barca statement read: “Barcelona have agreed a deal with Arsenal for the transfer of Alex Song to the Nou Camp. The fee is 19 million euros.
“The Cameroon international midfielder will sign for the next five seasons with a release clause of 80 million euros.
“On Monday he’ll have a medical and then join the rest of the squad for the official team presentation at the Joan Gamper Trophy.”
The 24-year-old netted 10 goals in 204 outings for the Gunners after arriving from French club Bastia in August 2005.
He is set to be the Blaugrana’s second major signing of the off-season following the capture of Spanish wing-back Jordi Alba from Valencia.
