Murphy: Still has the hunger
The 35-year-old midfielder has been a consistent performer at the highest level for some years now and is vastly experienced, having played at Tottenham, Liverpool and Charlton before his move to Craven Cottage.
Rovers boss Steve Kean is delighted to have Murphy on board as the club look to gain promotion to the Premier League at the first attempt.
“Being able to bring Danny on board is a massive boost for everyone and I couldn’t be more delighted,” Kean told the club’s official website.
“His record is there for all to see. He is a model professional, who has a real hunger to keep on playing football and we are thrilled he has decided to commit his future to us.
“This is a pivotal signing for us.”
