Santos coach Mart Nooij admits his future at the club is uncertain following their relegation from the Premier Soccer League

The People’s Team will now play in the National First Division - after failing to get the better of Chippa United in their final NFD promotion play-off encounter at Philippi Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Santos managed just one win in their four play-off matches, beating Thanda Royal Zulu before losing to Neil Tovey’s side in their return match after first drawing and then losing to the Chilli Boys.

After this weekend’s match, Nooij said: “We lost this game and I came here to Cape Town to save the team from relegation.

“I’m not sure what will happen now. I’m not watching myself, we’ll wait and see what the future brings.”
