Argentina legend Diego Maradona says his son-in-law Sergio Aguero should move to Real Madrid in the off-season, and that he made a mistake going to Manchester City in the first place
There have been numerous reports linking the Argentina striker to the Bernabeau in recent weeks, and Maradona, whose daughter is married to Aguero, feels a move would be a great idea.
Maradona, who is managing Al Wasl FC in Dubai, told La Red radio station: “Kun (Aguero) has to play for Real Madrid.
“Even though he is flying at City, the best thing would have been to sign for Madrid. He made a mistake.
“Now, as he is doing so well, it will be difficult to get him from City. However, if Madrid want someone, they get them.
“(President) Florentino (Perez) has no limits. It’s a question of convincing City - but not with money because they have plenty of that.”
Aguero himself has denied wanting to leave Eastlands though, repeatedly voicing his commitment to the club, while Real boss Jose Mourinho has also denied being keen on the 23-year-old.
