Mayambela: Staying in Soweto
The 24-year-old played only a bit-part role in the Buccaneers’ treble winning campaign last term and has been tipped with a move to newly promoted PSL outfit Chippa United.
However, Pirates have revealed Mayambela makes up part of coach Augusto Palacios’ plans for the upcoming campaign, and as a result he will not be leaving the club during the current transfer period.
“Mark Mayambela will not be going out on loan,” a statement from Bucs read.
“The midfielder is very much still in the technical team’s plans for the 2012-13 season.”
Three players who have made a temporary departure from the Soweto giants are Cyril Mashego, Linda Shiba and Sibusiso Mnguni, who have all penned season-long loan deals with the Chilli Boys.
