Reported Arsenal target Odil Ahmedov has admitted he would like nothing more than to play for the Premier League giants
The Uzbekistan captain has spent the last 16 months with Russian Premier League club Anzhi Makhachkala, but is looking for a new challenge and has set his sights on a move to either England of Spain.
His preferred destination would be the Emirates Stadium though, with the Gunners believed to be keen on acquiring his services having originally expressed their interest in the 24-year-old midfielder a year ago.
“Of course I am very happy at Anzhi,” Ahmedov told reporters in Tashkent.
“This club has a great future. But I would like to try in England or Spain.
“All clubs in Spain and England are wonderful but I would like to play for Arsenal.”
